School Day

Our school day begins at 8.45am when the gates are opened and students are welcomed each morning by the school staff. Our registers officially open at 8.45 and close for most children at 9.10. We have a morning break at 10:30 -10:45, lunch at 12.15 - 12:45 and we offer a 15 minute reading break for all students 12:45 - 1:00 as well and ending the day with reward time from 2:10 - 2:30.

The school day finishes at 2.30, whereby Students are seen off site by school staff and released to parents, carers or taxis home.

Our staff then stay on site to prepare and set up our learning activities for the following day as well as contacting home daily to brief on how pupils' days ended.

Uniform

Main uniform:

Polo Shirt in white or sky blue (logo optional).

Black or navy trousers or jogging bottoms.

Black or navy skirt.

Navy zip through fleece (logo optional).

Pupils can wear skirts or trousers depending on their preference. Our uniform is gender neutral.

PE Kit:

PE T-Shirt in white (logo optional).

PE Shorts in black or navy.

PE Bag (logo optional)

Items with a logo can be purchased from Superstitch, who also sell some items of main uniform and PE Kit.  Most items will need to be ordered as they are not held in stock, so please allow extra time for this to happen.

Their opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm and Saturday 9.00am to 12.30pm.  You can place an order with them online, just select The Flagship School from the drop-down list or click on our logo on their home page.

School Transport

If you need transport for your child to attend our school then please contact the team at East Sussex to arrange it.  You need to do this even if your child had a taxi to another school before attending The Flagship School.  The telephone number for the Admissions and Transport Team at County Hall is 0300 330 9472.  They are open for enquiries Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm.

 

School Meals

We are able to offer all of our pupils a range of choices of hot school meals, or they are welcome to bring in their own packed lunch.

Our school meals also cater for specific diets and lifestyle choices, including vegan and Halal.

The school also provides a free breakfast for all of our pupils, either being bagels and/or cereal and fruit.

The children have their breakfasts and lunches in the classroom with their teaching team, as this supports our ethos of building family style relationships with them.

If you require a hot lunch please email the office on office@theflagshipschool.org.uk.  Lunch costs £2.27 per meal unless your child is in receipt of free school meals.

Menu choices are made by your child each morning.  Menus work on a three-week cycle.  Please see the attachment below for the most up to date menu
