Reflecting on Our 2025–2026 School Year
Welcome to our annual end-of-year reflection! As we look back on our second year as a school, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to all our parents, carers, and community partners. Together, we have built a safe, caring, and positive place where every single child matters.
Here are the wonderful highlights and achievements from the 2025–2026 academic year!
Fantastic Exam Outcomes!
Our Year 11 students worked hard and earned brilliant results during their Summer exams:
- 93.5% Overall Pass Rate: Our students took 46 tests and passed 43 of them!
- 100% Entry Level Success: Every single student who entered an Entry Level test in Maths, Reading, or Writing passed!
- 100% Writing Success: Every student who sat a Functional Skills Writing test passed, from Entry Level through to Level 1!
- 85.7% Science Pass Rate: 6 out of 7 students passed their Entry Level Science qualification.
- Moving On to College: 12 of our 13 Year 11 leavers secured their college places for September! We are working closely with the Youth Employability Service to support our final student into a course.
A Safe and Caring Place to Learn
- Zero Permanent Exclusions: We keep our promise to stay committed to our young people. No student was permanently excluded this year.
- Fewer Suspensions: Thanks to our staff and supportive community police workshops, school suspensions dropped by more than half across the year.
- Key Person Support: Every student chose a trusted member of staff as their "Key Person" to talk to whenever they felt stressed or overwhelmed.
- 4 Tutor Groups: Our tutor groups—Dedication, Perseverance, Harmony, and Opportunity—helped every student feel safe, listened to, and included.
Creative Sparks & Friendly Welcomes
- Creative Art Projects: The arrival of our part-time Art teacher gave our students a fantastic outlet for self-expression, filling our school with colorful new artwork and displays.
- Summer Beach Meets: We welcomed our new September pupils with a gentle, 4-week transition program, including ice creams on the beach with families!
Looking Ahead
- Full School Capacity: We are proud to start the new year with all 25 student places filled.
- New Qualifications & Music: We are launching formal qualification courses in Art and introducing the exciting TeachRock music program.
- Strong Staff Team: Our learning is anchored by specialist teachers in English, Maths/Science, Careers, PSHE and Art.
Thank you for working with us to help your children shine. We look forward to another wonderful year together!
