Our school day runs from 9.30am to 2.30pm - this equates to a 25 hour week. There are times that pupils might finish earlier when attending college.

Our pupils travel to school in different ways; some by county transportation and  some independently using public transport. 

When we opened as a new school, we consulted with parents and pupils on school uniforms. It was agreed that there would be NO school uniform requirements at St. George’s House. But we would have certain items of clothing that are not allowed:

• No balaclavas or masks
• No items of clothing with offensive language or images
• No highly revealing clothing - we decided the matra would be: You should not be able to - see through it, up it or under it!

We understand and accept that for some pupils the use of a baseball cap or hood helps their anxiety - so this is allowed in school.

If your young person is entitled to a free school meal, we will provide lunch each day they attend school. These are currently provided by a local school and consist of tasty baguettes, fruit and a drink.
