Senior Psychological Therapist (Beckmead College)

Salary: Outer London NJC Grade 14 SCP 39 – Grade 16 SCP48

                  (£50,031 FTE - £59,328 FTE) depending on experience

Hours:  3 days per week, 21.6 hours per week, Term time only (plus INSET days)

The Beckmead Trust was formed in April 2019, it’s founding school the Beckmead Family of Schools was rated Outstanding by Ofsted in January 2017.  The school de-amalgamated in September 2021 to form 3 separate Academies.

The Croydon Hub is made up of Chaffinch Brook School for children with Autism and challenging behaviour; Beckmead Park Academy based across 4 sites for KS1-4 children with SEMH, both in Short- Stay and highly specialised provisions; and Beckmead College a KS4 and 5 specialist and vocational college set over two campus.

Psychological Therapy is a key element of our approach and is well integrated into the school culture.

We are seeking a Senior Psychological Therapist to work at Beckmead College. The successful applicant(s) will be an integral part of the therapy team across our school sites, providing individual, possibly group and (dependent on training/ experience) family sessions as well as working to support the therapeutic approach of the school generally, managing a team of therapists and supporting the development of the therapy provision.

The successful applicant will need a flexible approach and will be passionate about providing an accessible and inclusive service that meets the complex therapeutic needs of our students and their families.  Excellent team work and communication skills are vital. Therapy is a valued part of our approach to working with our students and is well supported by the organisation.
