We are bursting with excitement to announce the grand opening of our brand-new construction area at Ropemakers’ Academy! This vibrant, dedicated space is a hub of activity, carefully designed to spark children’s innate curiosity, encourage hands-on exploration, and champion a playful, project-based learning approach. We believe that children learn best when they are engaged, active, and having fun, and this new area embodies that philosophy.

Within this dynamic zone, pupils will have the opportunity to step into the roles of builders, architects, and engineers. We’ve equipped the area with a diverse range of real-world resources and other open-ended materials that inspire creative thinking.

Children at Ropemakers’ Academy will be empowered to translate their imaginative ideas into tangible creations, to solve problems collaboratively, and to develop vital 21st-century skills. They’ll learn to work together, communicate their ideas clearly, and think critically about their designs and how to improve them.

This new construction area will enrich learning across many subject areas. It will be an invaluable resource for maths lessons, as pupils measure and calculate; for science, as they experiment with structures and forces; and for art, as they explore shapes, patterns, and spatial awareness. Moreover, the area provides an outlet for self-expression and storytelling, as children build worlds and narratives through their constructions. We eagerly anticipate witnessing the incredible structures, innovative projects, and imaginative play that will unfold within this exciting learning environment.
